Psychologists express a keen interest in behavior, but they can differ in opinions. Some psychologists are rather devoted to applied psychology and others to fundamental psychology, to sum up briefly. The question that also arises is whether psychology is a science. From Socrates to the present days, things have evolved a lot. However, it was not until the year 1860 that psychology was considered an experimental science. Gustav Theodore Fechner (1801-1887) indeed published his book “Elemente der Psychophysik” where he highlighted the influence of physical events on psychological sensations and perceptions.
